Managing Director of Research & Programming
Doug Darfield began his career in Hispanic Marketing as the VP of Research at Univision in May 1988. In that capacity he led the efforts to move Univision’s suite of research tool onto the same footing as the “general market”, including the groundbreaking transition to the use of Nielsen NHTI Hispanic ratings panel.
After Univision, Darfield has held several position in various parts of the Hispanic Marketing industry, including SVP of Hispanic Services at the Nielsen Company, where he led the successful effort to fold Hispanic Audience Measurement into the broader U.S. television measurement structure as well as time as EVP of Research at Telemundo.
Doug is currently the Managing Director of Research and Programming for Hemisphere Media.
