Great public speakers aren't born. It takes practice. As a communications coach, David teaches clients how to break bad habits, implement new techniques and create a strategy to be the best communicator possible.

As an Emmy-award winning journalist at ABC News and CNN, David prepared anchors like Anderson Cooper and Barbara Walters for interviews and speaking engagements.

David Puente has anchored and produced programs at ABC News Now, “20/20” and CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” and uses his 20 years of communications experience in TV news to help clients become more persuasive, on-point and polished. Clients which include Facebook, NBC Universal, L’Oreal, Douglas Elliman, The Rockefeller Foundation, Kellogg’s and The Wall Street Journal. David has also prepared celebrities, athletes, and best-selling authors for public speaking and publicity events. At Disney and Time Warner David worked with human resources, legal departments and C-level executives. He led presentations on executive presence, messaging and diversity and inclusion. David works with his clients to both develop effective messaging and a solid delivery.

His expertise includes preparation for media appearances, presentations and even developing valuable pitching techniques for high-stress situations like appearing on the ABC program “Shark Tank” where his client scored an investment for her business.

At Clarity David also spearheads our Latin American outreach in the U.S., Central and South America. He offers training sessions in Spanish as well.

He has received philanthropic awards for his work with public school students including the 2006 Disney Cast Community Fund Grant and The 2010 Time Warner Heiskell Award for Community Service. He speaks Spanish, French and studies Arabic.
